News and Events - 2008

November - Exciting news! Leslie and Don Toroo were chosen to participate in the Debbie MacDonald Symposium sponsored by NEDA. "Donni" is a fantastic young horse owned by Shannon and Ron Hendrix and did everyone proud by behaving and impressing the large crowd of dressage enthusiasts. Donni received many compliments from Debbie and the onlookers and we look forward to Shannon's continued success with all her wonderful horses.

September - Shannon Hendrix and Bellini did well at the NEDA Fall Festival. On the 13th they received 67.69% with Third Level Test 1 Open placing 1st as Adult Amateur and 1st place overall. On the 14th, they received 62.82% in Third Level Test 1 Open placing 2nd as Adult Amateur and 4th overall.

Congratulations to Jaguar winning his Novice Division at the UNH Horse Trails despite the difficult weather!

August - Dressage at the Seacoast was a good outing for Wiebren owned by Randa Pehl. Leslie rode Wiebren to first place and a 67% at First Level Test 3 and third place and 68% in First Level Test 1. In some tough competition, Major placed 5th with a 64.5% at the Prix St. George Level. Unfortunately, Sunday was a wash out with huge thunderstorms and torrential rain.

July - Erin Langan is having a great season with her brave event horse Churchill. Erin won the Open Training Division at Huntington Farms Horse Trails and placed 4th at Apple Knoll Farm, great job.

Major and Leslie took the long trek up to Issac Royal in Maine to win both Prix St George classes with 67% and 64.5%. The weather was gorgeous and a very friendly atmosphere. Jaguar moved up to Novice Division at the Kingsbury Hill Event and ran very well there w/ clean x-country.

June - Bravo to Shannon Hendrix and her wonderful horse Bellini. She achieved a huge milestone by earning her last score for her USDF Bronze Medal, congratulations!

Mary Compton and Pamela have been scoring extremely well in their First Level tests winning many and earning the high score for the show at Mystic Dressage show!

May - Major and Leslie had a good showing at NEDA Spring winning their Saturday 4th Level Test 1 with a 63% and placing 3rd on Sunday in 4-1 with a 65.11%. Jaguar was not to be shown up and won his Beginner Novice division at the Mystic Horse Trials with a low score of 28.5%.
